great strolls to historic sites and beautiful park views

I had such a lovely evening enjoying wonderfully cooked lamb in the peaceful garden after a day spent exploring nearby historic Totnes Castle and strolling through the stunning Dartington Hall Estate and Gardens, where I soaked in all the beauty of nature.

I stayed for 3 nights in a Superior King Room. The food was consistently amazing, especially the fish of the day. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout my visit. The surrounding area offered beautiful walks. I highly recommend this place! 🐾

excellent views near picturesque parks and historic landmarks

I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful scenery just off the river Dart and the excellent hospitality from the staff who truly went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, especially Callum and Mike. it's definitely a great spot for weekend city strolls with the East Gate Arch and Totnes Bridge just a short walk away.

The decor was charming, with a lovely beer garden perfect for relaxing afternoons. The accessibility was a breeze, making it easy for everyone, including older guests, to navigate and enjoy all the comforts of the inn.

More seating options in common areas would help seniors.

Solo traveler really impressed

I had the fish of the day, which was the Sea Trout, and it blew me away. straight up, one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Plus, the staff were super friendly and made sure I felt welcome, just what a guy like me needed.

I spent 3 nights in a Twin Room with Private Bathroom. The room had lovely views and a clean setup. Staff were friendly and made me feel welcomed. Food in the restaurant exceeded my expectations, especially the delicious roast pork. The beer selection was good too! sound insulation was quite poor. I could hear every move from the guests in the next room, which disrupted my sleep a bit. the floors creaked a lot, adding to the noise. Another downside, the complimentary tray in the room wasn’t replenished after the first day, leaving me with very little coffee for my second morning. It felt overlooked. On one hand, I had a pleasant stay with good food and warm staff, but the noise and service inconsistency could use some attention.

It was just a great fit for a day tour in Totnes with good price-quality ratio. The club sandwich was a meal in itself, really filling and tasty. If you're hungry, don’t miss out on their food!

Amazing food & cozy vibes

We had a fab lunch here for a birthday. The seafood linguine was top-notch, and the belly pork was cooked just right! Staff were super nice and helpful. The little garden out back is a cute spot for sunny days. Only wish the parking was a bit larger, but overall it was a great experience!

Our recent two-night stay was a mixed bag. The cozy atmosphere and warm decor made us feel at home. Dining experiences were a highlight, with delicious puddings that we thoroughly enjoyed. we found the lack of room service disappointing. A friendly tip, don’t forget to ask about room servicing at check-in!

The food was absolutely delicious, especially the outstanding Devon burger. The beer garden provides a lovely ambience to unwind.
